Angel Hair Pomodoro with Shrimp by Chef Jerry Gruber

What is pomodoro sauce?  Like Italian marinara sauce, pomodoro is made with tomatoes, olive oil, fresh basil, and garlic.  Pomodoro sauce is simmered longer and therefore is thicker with a slightly darker color than marinara sauce.
